Along with the Programme partners there are many groups helping to provide support to farmers moving through the eradication process.
The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is in partnership with DairyNZ and Beef + Lamb New Zealand (B+LNZ) to eradicate M. bovis.
The three industry partners are behind the 2019 M. bovis National Plan. It sets out 3 clear goals:
DairyNZ, Beef+Lamb New Zealand and Federated Farmers support MPI's decisions. They also recognise that this is a difficult time for the farmers involved.
The industry organisations believe that the measures are necessary to protect all New Zealand cattle farms from the disease.

This is a difficult time for M. bovis affected farmers, their families and workers, along with their communities. The Programme is working to reduce the impact of the disease and the eradication programme for everyone affected.
Providing farmer support across all regions affected is important, so the Programme engages the Rural Support Trust (RST), along with industry and the rural community-based National Adverse Events Committees (NAEC).
AsureQuality (AQ) is MPI’s biosecurity partner. AQ staff help with the M. bovis eradication programme by ensuring that cleaning and disinfection, legal notice and permit requirements are met.

They are your main point of contact for any questions and will oversee all activities related to testing, and if required, containing and eradicating M. bovis on your farm.
Your Farm Systems Manager (FSM) will work with you on a Farm Recovery Plan, tailored to your operation.
